| We have been recording with Joel at Univibe for over 5 years now. certain tracks from our first album were recorded by him, and all of our work since has also been done by him, firstly at his studios inside JJM in walsall, and more recently in his custom built facilities in the heart of birmingham. Joel is an excellent sound engineer, producer and all round pleasure to work with. He knows just the right way to help you get 'that one take', be it that you're not playing with enough conviction, or that he can see you're too tired and may suggest coming back for a fresh try on another day. The quality of the recordings, and the equipment at univibe really are of top quality, and you only have to look at the wide range and diversity of the microphones, and mic pre-amps that they have to work with to get a sense that univibe truly understand their craft. And at the prices absolutely no-one can complain. | We have only been able to record one 12 hour session with Joel at univibe so far but it was a very good experience. We were made to feel comfortable and felt like he understood the kind of sounds and grooves we were after. I also feel he got the best out of our singer during the vocal takes which is always important. A shared interest in Elliott Smith was a bonus:) the equipment at hand was varied and interesting and we felt that the final recording was better than we had imagined and definately better than the ones we had been doing ourselves prior ro Univibe. We look forward to recording with him again soon and learning more tricks like we did the last time. Highly Recommended. Plastic Glasses? |

| Univibe audio is a fantastic studio in Birmingham run by resident sound guru Joel. His great talent to work with and get the best out of anybody combined with his awesome studio skills mean you come out of any session with just the result you always wanted. Having used many other local studios, some charging more money per hour Univibe is clearly the best, book your session now, you will not be dissapointed. I certainly will be going back. |
